We work very closely with our Landlords to ensure that all properties are well maintained and meet all regulations.
Our property management team is responsible for collecting rents and dealing with any queries or maintenance issues. You know exactly who is managing your property and where to turn should you have any queries.
In fact, we are available to contact at any time through our 24-hour helpline. We are also a member of Landlord Accreditation Scotland.

The Rental Process
A few of the steps to move into your new home
-
Securing a Property
Once you have decided on the property you would like to rent we will need some details from you so that we can set up your tenancy agreement.
You will need to provide us with:
- two references
- credit check
- photo ID
- the deposit
Once we have all the necessary information we will arrange an entry date with you.
-
Deposit
Once you have decided on your property and it has been secured then the deposit will become payable.
The Deposit is as follows:
- Security deposit is equivalent to one month’s rent plus £200. This will be held by SafeDeposits Scotland under the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and returned to you at the end of the tenancy provided that all is satisfactory with the property.
-
Rent
The following are the details of how you will be required to set up the payment of the monthly rent.
- Rent is payable monthly in advance.
- The first month’s rent must be paid with cleared funds prior to your entry date.
- You will be required to set up a standing order from your account to pay your monthly rent.
-
Utility Accounts
We will arrange for your gas, electricity and council tax accounts to be set up when you move in. This means that bills can be sent to you directly until you move out, when we will arrange for accounts to be closed.
Don’t forget that if you are a full-time student you may be exempt from paying council tax. You should contact the Council’s Department of Revenues and Benefits to find out more.
Arrange a viewing
Found a property you like the look of? Contact us to arrange an appointment. Our viewing times are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and we can provide transport from our office to any properties you wish to view.
“From the first till last day, Littlejohns Staff provided a service above and beyond expectations. The Team have always responded quickly to all our queries. We absolutely love this Agency, if only another property could be found so to stay with them”
